About me

I’m Maya, a Filipina storyteller based in New Zealand. I spent over a decade as a magazine journalist and published author, but have evolved into a self-taught illustrator and art teacher. 

I’m a late bloomer in many ways. But I’m proof that we’re never too old to learn new skills. In my little shop, all the art and ebooks began as doodles and ramblings in my sketchbook. Whatever I create, my intention is to sow seeds of love and faith, and cultivate a creative lifestyle.
